This is Will’s second booking as a solo artist at the Diamond. This self taught Anglo concertina wizard delighted us the first time round with his playing and his choice of songs, many from his beloved Sussex and from much farther afield. Will has served his time in the Albion Band as well as being part of the Pump and Pluck Band. As a soloist he can give reign to his vast collection of songs and tunes both serious and comic, all delivered expertly in a quite manner but with a sparkle in his eye. This is a rare chance to see him in the Midlands.

Tom McConville is a wonderful fiddle player and vocalist from Tyneside who brings a wealth of talent and experience to share with us tonight. This man is well respected by the many people he has worked with but I think his magic comes to the fore in front of a live audience as the tunes flow sometimes at break neck speed other times in a halting but beautiful slow air. His songs range from his beloved North East to the USA and beyond. Don’t worry, your contribution to the choruses will not be forgotten.

Scolds Bridle are Sue Bousfield and Liz Moore. Sue plays English concertina and Liz guitar and bouzouki. Expect great harmony singing from this well respected duo whose songs range from the poignant to the hilarious. They have appeared in many productions based on the Fylde area and had a number of songs written especially for them.
