We welcome back Dick Miles after a lengthy absence due to the fact that he now resides in the south of Ireland. A fine player of the English concertina, Dick has a love of English traditional songs and tunes. I notice the Irish music creeping into his repertoire as well. This is a rare chance to see him over here.

This is the second visit of Granny’s Attic. We are pleased to get them as they are very busy both at club and festival level. We had a full house the last time so come early.
Mike Nicholson has the enviable talent to make any song he sings his own. He has a varied repertoire and is not afraid to embrace both traditional and contemporary material which he delivers with ease both in a folk club setting or a concert stage. He has a strong rich voice which is well suited to choruses so you will have to play your part to play.
Judy Cook is touring from the U.S.A and makes a welcome return to the Diamond. A fantastic interpreter of traditional material from her side of the pond and she has a song to fit any occasion either sad or comical. With a wealth of stories about the people and the land she can draws you in and hold you spellbound. Come prepared to sing.
Chris Foster is doing a short tour from his home in Iceland to promote his new CD ‘Hadelin’ which is a collection of English songs. His warm singing voice and a love for traditional song has made him a favourite of ours down through the years. He is also a fine guitarist and we might even get an Icelandic tune as well. This will be the first gig of the tour and we are very lucky to be able to get him.
