We welcome back GU4. Unaccompanied English traditional song from Pete, Miggy, Karen and Bill . Gorgeous harmony singing and lively banter. Their way of involving the audience in the performance means no one is left out. Watch out for a sprinkling of Miggy Campbell’s own songs. A night not to be missed.
Mat Green and Andy Turner are part of the very successful Magpie Lane. As a duo they play mainly traditional English dance tunes. They specialise in little-known tunes from eighteenth and nineteenth century village musicians' tune books. The tunes are interspersed with songs, again, mainly from English traditional sources, but with the occasional surprise.
Dave and Anni are in demand both here and across the pond. Come and hear some lovely harmony singing coupled with Dave’s own songs that sit comfortably with the traditional material. They are at ease either singing solo or together. Bring your chorus voice.
We welcome back Keith Kendrick and Sylvia Needham from Derby who can be relied upon for fine harmony singing, coupled with some wonderful concertina playing They are equally at home with a ballad, shanty or a Music Hall ditty. They will be lots of opportunity for you to join in. This replaces Mal Waite who has had to cancel due to illness.
