Cupola are a trio who play melodeons, fiddles, viola, soprano saxophone, clarinet and hurdy-gurdy combined effortlessly with sublime harmonies. The other element in this venture is the young singer, Lucy Ward, Lucy won the BBC Folk Horizon award for best newcomer and has had rave reviews for her debut album “For the Dead Men” released in January. Lester Simpson. Composer, writer and broadcaster has escaped Messer Coope and Boyes to perform a solo booking. Expect some great singing of both traditional and self penned material coupled with a great sense of humour and insightful anecdotes. Lester also plays melodeon and bagpipes. Come early a good night will be had by all.

Les Sullivan this is Les’s second visit and a treat for the many fans of his warm voice and melodious style. His self-penned repertoire reflects the lives and loves of the ordinary people made special by his craft of imbuing them with dignity, love and laughter. They sit alongside the tradition very well and can be heard in clubs up and down the country so why not come and hear them from the source. They will be plenty of opportunity to join in.
Crucible perform an exciting mix of energetic tunes, rich and evocative harmony singing and subtle accompaniment for a unique programme of English traditional material, ably complemented by their own compositions in the same style. They combine three joyfully distinct voices with a range of traditional instruments, including fiddle, melodeon, guitar and cittern. Members of the band have many years’ experience with dance bands GloryStrokes, Hekety and new projects Melrose Quartet and Albion band.
