What better guest to have on the eve of St Patrick’s Day then Bonnie and Dan Milner. First visit to our club but no strangers to folk music on either side of the pond. We are looking forward to some fine harmony singing from this American duo. And I am sure there will be enough Irish material to keep your shamrock wet.
Lucy, Edwin and Tom are a young trio that are making waves on the folk scene. Lucy’s stunning singing style is suited to performing traditional material while the lads are multi-talented musicians. Expect plenty of tunes played with lots of energy and joy.
Vicki Swan and Jonny Dyer pay a second visit. A young duo whose musical talents are well honed. Vicki plays Scottish smallpipes, flute and Swedish nyckelharpa while Jonny plays guitar and accordion. If you’re greedy for more they also sing in harmony.
Brian is a real powerhouse of traditional music and song. He is hailed as one of the finest ballad singers around while his playing of melodeon, concertina and guitar will have your feet tapping and your hands clapping for more. Be early, he is a very popular guest.
Peta sings in a style crafted over many years listening to many great Irish singers. While Ken is also a fine ballad singer, he has some wonderful comic songs. They can also turn their hand to some fine American harmony singing.
