A much respected song writer Jez’s songs are loved and sung throughout the folk world but we have the man as well as the songs. Come and be mesmerised by the skill and ease that he conveys stories of the ordinary people and trades of his beloved north-east. A long time favourite of the club.

Noreen hails from Liverpool of Irish stock and this shows in the presentation of many songs from her repertoire. She has a lovely light style that can be serious or comical when a ballad needs it. A joy to listen to so folk clubs take note.
It gives us great pleasure to welcome back Tom the wonderful Geordie fiddler and vocalist with the young talented musician and singer David Newey. The onstage rapport between these two and the joy of working together shine through their performance. Tom’s humour is a bonus both for us and David. Come early for a seat.
Nov 9th. Jeff Warnercomes from an American folk dynasty that I could not do justice to here. Suffice to say that he is a consummate performer who has a fine singing voice and can accompany himself on Banjo, Concertina and guitar. Come along for a wonderful American traditional evening. He loves to involve the audience. Look out for “Long Time Travelling” Jeff’s latest release.
We welcome Nick back to Brum where he ran a successful folk club for many years. With his fine rich voice and superb guitar playing you will hear a great ballad singer of English traditional songs. His Latest Cd “ My love you have won to keep” has had rave reviews. A night not to be missed.
