Roy Clinging

Roy Clinging brings his skill as a fine concertina player and singer. He can move effortlessly from a traditional ballad to a shanty or a music hall ditty. His programme is peppered with songs from his beloved Cheshire and his self-penned songs sit comfortably alongside the genre and are being picked up and sung by lots of other artists. Roy is well used to the ways of the club so bring your chorus voices.

We welcome back this youth choir from Stourbridge who gave us such an amazing night the last time they appeared. They sing with passion and enjoyment, utilising wonderful harmonies and innovative arrangements, including songs from the English folk tradition as well as songs from all over the world. Please note that due to our guests being a choir there will be limited seating on the night so let us know beforehand if you want to come along.

Expect songs of the land and the sea, some of which he has written himself, as well as songs of other Canadians writers like Stan Rogers. A warm rich voice ably accompanied on guitar.

You’ll get plenty of opportunities to join in the choruses.

A night at the Music Hall is right up our street. It is great to have Dave Sealey back at the club who, along with his son Dan and Adam Barry, have dusted off Dave and Al’s repertoire and breathe new life in to the old songs. Get here early as we know they are very popular. Bring your voices they will do the rest.
