Martyn Wyndham-Read is one of our most frequently requested guests and has a loyal following at the club. He can charm an audience with the range and quality of his voice. His passion for Australian songs and stories is coupled with his love of traditional material. He is also a great admirer and exponent of the late great Graham Miles material. His fund of stories are delivered with a dry wit. Come early for a seat and be in no doubt you will have an opportunity to join in the choruses.
This is the second visit to the club of this American duo, although we see Dan here occasionally as he has a connection with Brum. They both have a long association with folk music, so expect a wide variety of songs both from the land and sea. They have an easy stage presence and are more than willing to have you join in.
Scolds Bridle. are Sue Bousfield and Liz Moore. Sue plays English concertina and Liz guitar and bouzouki. Expect great harmony singing from this well respected duo, whose songs range from the poignant to the hilarious. They have appeared in many productions based on the Fylde area and are regular guests at many festivals They have a wonderful rapport with the audience and we welcome them back to the Diamond.
Pete is no stranger to the club , known not only as a multi instrumentalist and singer from Coventry but throughout this country and beyond. Tonight he is joined by Mick Bisiker on vocals, guitar and bouziki. Martin Trewinnard on concertina, whistle, flute and vocals and Ewan Cameron on bodhran, flutes and guitar.
