Derek Gifford needs very little introduction from me as he has been a friend and past resident of this club since the days I was in short trousers. He is a fine interpreter of traditional songs and always a favourite to get people to sing. Never a one to stand still he has put some fine tunes to other peoples words that you can hear sung up and down this country and farther afield. Not a night to miss.

Caffrey, McGurk and Madge. Since their first , visit Nick and Ed have been joined by Robin Madge on concertina and vocals. At their last visit they created a great rapport with the audience. With a wide range of songs and styles garnered from their time served with of many different groups you will not be short of a chorus or two.

On their first visit to the club Moirai brings together the talents of Jo Freya, Sarah Matthews and Melanie Biggs playing a variety of instruments coupled with three strong voices. Expect traditional tunes and songs in harmony and solo along with self-penned numbers, all delivered with great humour. Each of them could hold the night on their own together they are sensational.

Steve Turner is known as a pioneer of highly sophisticated English concertina song accompaniments and has one of the best voices around. He is a multi- instrumentalist, accomplished on both the mandolin and banjo. Steve is equally at home on a large festival stage or an intimate folk club like ours and with a great repertoire of ballads it is a night to look forward to.
