Steve Turner is known as a pioneer of highly sophisticated English concertina song accompaniments and has one of the best voices around. He is a multi- instrumentalist, accomplished on both the mandolin and banjo. Steve is equally at home on a large festival stage or an intimate folk club like ours and with a great repertoire of ballads it is a night to look forward to.

What wouldn’t people give for John’s polished stage presence? He performs with warmth and humour in a style that is well suited to a folk club, and honed by long service as a writer and performer. His songs have entered the fabric of folk culture to be sung by the great and the good. But to my mind John is the best interpreter of his material, so come along and be well entertained.

Jess and Richard Arrowsmith with Ian Robb. We are pleased to welcome back Jess and Richard who are doing a short tour with one of the leading lights of “Finest Kind” Ian Robb from Canada. Jeff Warner hails from an American folk dynasty that I could not do justice to here. Suffice to say that he is a consummate performer who has a fine singing voice and can accompany himself on banjo, concertina and guitar. Come along for a wonderful American traditional evening. He loves to involve the audience so there will be plenty of opportunity to participate. My hopes are high that he will be bringing his dancing doll.
