This is Hector’s first visit to the club and after seeing him perform at the Alcester festival I know you are in for a treat. He has a fine ballad singing voice and a warm personality. Listen out for songs from the Robert Burns collection but he is just as adept singing a contemporary number.
Scolds Bridle are Sue Bousfield and Liz Moore. Sue plays English concertina and Liz guitar and bouzouki. Expect great harmony singing from this well respected duo whose songs range from the poignant to the comical. They are expecting great chorus singing from you.
Quartz are a four part harmony group from Lancashire. They are Pete and Judith Gleave and Sandra and Steve Harrison who have become firm favourites at the club. Their love of performing shines into every corner of the room and you will be expected to participate in all the choruses.
Greg, Chris and Malcolm pay one of their visits to the club. Expect songs that cover the English civil war to battles of naval derring-do and land campaigns through to Napoleonic times. Their skill is passing on the joy they have in performing to the audiences. I defy you not to join in.
Mary Humphreys andAnahata are back for their third visit. Mary's stunning voice and banjo playing and Anahata’s cello and concertina playing make for a captivating evening. Some wonderful versions of familiar songs and plenty of opportunity to join in.
