Greg, Chris and Malcolm pay one of their visits to the club. Expect songs that cover the English civil war to battles of naval derring-do and land campaigns through to Napoleonic times. Their skill is passing on the joy they have in performing to the audiences. I defy you not to join in.
Mary Humphreys and Anahata are back for their third visit. Mary's stunning voice and banjo playing and Anahata’s cello and concertina playing make for a captivating evening. Some wonderful versions of familiar songs and plenty of opportunity to join in.
Steve is from a family of singers and concertina players going back to the 1890's. He has a fine store of songs and is one of the most highly rated concertina players in the British Isles. Come and be mesmerised by his easy style. His CD “The Whirligig of Time” was released to great critical acclaim.
When Bob sings a song about his beloved North East he imbues it with a magic that makes it his alone. Expect songs of love, joy, work and humour, sometimes all four in one song all accompanied by a wonderful guitar style that can both drive or embellish a number, this man has served his time at his craft and it shows. I am polishing the house full sign.
What a way to start the new season, Lincolnshire’s very own Bill Whaley and Dave Fletcher are coming to play and sing and all you have to do is join in the choruses. You’d better be good because they’re brilliant. Great songs and wonderful accompaniment all delivered with wit and style. This long awaited night has finally come. An early arrival for a seat is advisable.
