When Bob sings a song about his beloved North East he imbues it with a magic that makes it his alone. Expect songs of love, joy, work and humour, sometimes all four in one song all accompanied by a wonderful guitar style that can both drive or embellish a number, this man has served his time at his craft and it shows. What a way to start the new season, Lincolnshire’s very own Bill Whaley and Dave Fletcher are coming to play and sing and all you have to do is join in the choruses. You’d better be good because they’re brilliant. Great songs and wonderful accompaniment all delivered with wit and style. This long awaited night has finally come. An early arrival for a seat is advisable.

Martin and Shan are well known for their association with the Baring Gould collection but tonight they are here to entertain us with songs and stories from throughout the tradition and we are very pleased to have them. I can guarantee that what might start with just two voices will soon blossom out to include a room full as the love they have for the song is very infectious.

A new pairing for us. Nick and Ed hail from Lancashire and come together to bring us a selection of songs both ancient and modern. Their voices blend well together and Ed’s guitar playing completes the sound. Nick is a fine ballad singer in his own right so all in all we are in for a treat.
