Scolds Bridle started our 60th season off in fine style, our first duo in the year and nine out of the eleven guests we booked were duos or trios. In May of 2024 we celebrated our 60th birthday, having guests on two successive Fridays where entry to the night was FREE, the guests were Pete Coe on the 10th May and Mick Ryan/Pete Harris on May 17th. On top of this we had a “Big Sing” over the lunchtime and afternoon of Saturday 11th May, again a free event, but with food and a birthday cake. In fact, we had three separate cakes, one for each of the events.
All were great successes, but the “Big Sing” with over 30 performers was the most memorable.
What was also very encouraging was the fact that audience numbers had slowly increased over the season.
